The government is changing the rules for assessing destroyed housing: what to expect for the victims

According to inkorr.com: The Ukrainian government is modernizing the mechanism for remote assessment of destroyed housing in active and potential combat zones. It is planned to use satellite images from the State Space Agency, as well as engage units of the Armed Forces to collect the necessary data.

In addition, a decision has been made to simplify the technical requirements for photos and videos that confirm the destruction of housing. This will help to more accurately collect evidence within the eRestoration program and ensure the possibility of compensation for all victims of the war.

'We are expanding opportunities for remote assessments within the eRestoration program. We must ensure the ability for everyone whose homes were destroyed by Russian shelling to receive compensation. The commissions conducting these assessments will receive more tools for their work, even in the most difficult conditions when physical access to destroyed houses is impossible,' said Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery of Ukraine, Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba.

With the improvement of the technical aspects of remote assessments, one can expect faster and more accurate data collection for compensation for damages to residents of affected areas.

Thanks to these changes, the government hopes to reduce bureaucratic barriers and make the recovery process more accessible for people who have lost their homes. New assessment technologies also support Ukraine's efforts in the field of infrastructure recovery after the war, providing hope for a quicker return to normal life for all affected.
