Support for citizens during the winter period
According to inkorr.com: The government of Ukraine has approved a new support program for certain categories of the population during the winter, prepared by the Ministry of Social Policy. A total of 4.3 billion hryvnias has been allocated for the implementation of this program, which is set to start in early December.
The program provides for a one-time targeted payment of 6.5 thousand hryvnias. This support will help over 660 thousand citizens who belong to five main categories:
- children under guardianship or care;
- children with disabilities, including those with Group I disability;
- persons with Group I disability among internally displaced persons (IDPs);
- children from low-income families;
- single pensioners who receive care allowances.
Support will be provided automatically, and the funds will be credited to a special use current account or a 'Diia Card' payment card.
Funds received can be spent on winter clothing and footwear, as well as on medicines and vitamins, but they must be used within 180 days of receipt.
Thus, the winter support from the government will provide assistance of 6.5 thousand hryvnias to more than 660 thousand people from five different categories who are most in need of additional resources during the cold season. The program will significantly ease the financial burden on families who have found themselves in difficult situations, allowing them to provide the necessary level of comfort and health during the winter.Read also
