Heating assistance for residents of frontline regions

According to inkorr.com: The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved new rules for providing financial assistance for heating to people living in frontline zones. This financial support will be available to residents of nine regions that use solid fuel heating in areas affected by military actions. The process of providing assistance will be controlled by local authorities, and the list of individuals receiving assistance will be compiled by the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

Priority categories of recipients

Financial assistance will primarily be received by those who have subsidies, single pensioners, mothers receiving state assistance, large families, and other vulnerable groups of the population. Funding will be provided as a one-time payment for the entire family during the heating season from international resources.

Planning of payments and restrictions

According to the plan, payments are to take place in September-October 2025 from the funds of the UN and other humanitarian organizations. It should be noted that those who have already received heating support this season from international organizations will not be able to receive assistance.

This initiative from the government is an important step in supporting residents of frontline territories who often find themselves in difficult conditions. The involvement of international resources for financing assistance will help reduce the financial burden on families and is hoped to increase their sustainability during the heating season.
