The government submitted draft laws on taxes from online sales to the Rada: what will change.
A representative of the government in parliament, Taras Melnychuk, reported that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine submitted two new draft laws numbered 14025 and 14026 for consideration by the Verkhovna Rada. These laws concern the taxation of citizens' income from selling goods and services through online platforms.
Main provisions of the draft laws
According to inkorr.com: The Ministry of Finance, together with the tax service, worked on these laws for a long time, and finally submitted them for consideration by the deputies. The draft proposes the introduction of two income tax rates for individuals: a preferential rate of 5% and a standard rate of 18%. This is an important step towards increasing transparency and fiscal discipline in the field of e-commerce.
Benefits for entrepreneurs
The draft law also stipulates that operator companies of various platforms are obliged to report the income of their user-sellers and assist them in paying taxes. This innovation will significantly simplify the work for many entrepreneurs and make e-business in Ukraine even more attractive.
Impact on the business environment
Overall, the improvement of the taxation system for online trading is planned, which will have a positive impact on the country's business environment and contribute to the development of this sector of the economy.
The proposed changes could significantly improve the conditions for doing business in the field of e-commerce, which, in turn, will enhance the competitiveness of Ukrainian companies in the international arena. The implementation of new tax rules could also serve as a catalyst for the expansion of the electronic economy in Ukraine, which is an important aspect in the modern world. We are observing the developments in this sector, as it may bring benefits not only to entrepreneurs but also to the state as a whole.
