Assistance for victims of unlawful detention in Russia
According to inkorr.com: The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine is ready to support citizens who have become victims of unlawful detention in Russia. The authorities are offering payments of 50 thousand hryvnias for such individuals. This was stated by Deputy Minister Oleksii Riabikin during a press conference on the rights of released persons.
'We must ensure a fair and systematic approach to supporting all citizens who have suffered as a result of deprivation of liberty due to the aggression of the Russian Federation, as well as strengthen the state protection of everyone who has faced persecution by the aggressor,' emphasized Riabikin.
Details about payments and application procedures
Since the establishment of the Commission, over 3,700 applications for payments have been considered. More than 3 thousand decisions have been made regarding cases of deprivation of liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine. In order to receive assistance after release, citizens must contact the Ministry of Development and submit the relevant documents.
This initiative aims to support and protect the rights of people who have faced persecution due to the aggression of the Russian Federation. It is an important step in ensuring social protection and restoring justice for those who have suffered from repression.
