The government approved long-term medical care for veterans: who will receive services.
According to inkorr.com: The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a new initiative that provides for long-term medical care for veterans of the Russo-Ukrainian war. This program is aimed at supporting patients with limited functional abilities who require constant supervision and assistance.
In particular, such services will be provided to veterans who have a functional status below 30 points on the Barthel scale.
The medical program includes various measures such as function assessment, rehabilitation, and support to improve the quality of life for patients. All these services will be free of charge, as their funding is provided from the state budget through the National Health Service of Ukraine.
The cost of medical care will depend on the patient's level of dependency and will last for no less than 28 days. For example, for individuals with high dependency, the rate will be 5,452.52 hryvnias, while for patients with moderate dependency, it will be 3,484.30 hryvnias.
The approval of this project is an important step in improving medical assistance to veterans and supporting those who require special attention during rehabilitation after the war.
The implementation of this program aims to provide veterans with the necessary medical support, which is especially relevant in the context of the prolonged war. Long-term care and rehabilitation measures will not only help improve their physical condition but also create opportunities for social adaptation and returning to active life.
