New Rules for Chernobyl Victims: Who Will Facilitate Pension Receiving.
According to inkorr.com: The Government of Ukraine has introduced new opportunities for confirming periods and places of residence for individuals affected by the Chernobyl disaster. Particular attention will be paid to non-working pensioners from eight regions who were entitled to unconditional or guaranteed relocation. Temporary commissions will review documents regarding the places of residence of the victims, so that this information can be recorded in state registers and taken into account when calculating pensions.
Favorable Changes for Victims
These changes aim to make life easier for people affected by the Chernobyl disaster, as well as to provide them with additional guarantees and support from the government, pension fund, and social services.
Importantly, these steps will contribute to improving the social protection of people who still feel the effects of the Chernobyl disaster. The introduction of new mechanisms for confirming residence will allow a greater number of victims to receive the necessary support and assistance from the state.
