The government has approved the draft state budget for 2025: key indicators.
The Government of Ukraine has approved the draft state budget for 2025, as reported by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on his social networks on September 13.
This is already the third budget submitted on Time under the conditions of a full-scale war.
According to the project, state budget revenues are expected to be at the level of 2 trillion hryvnias, and expenditures are planned in the amount of 3.6 trillion hryvnias. The main priority of the budget remains the defense and security of the country, to which all internal resources will be directed.
Defense spending will increase to at least 2.22 trillion hryvnias. These funds will be used to increase financing for Ukrainian weapons, equipment, and drones.
The second priority is the financing of protected budget items. More than 400 billion hryvnias are allocated for social protection. It provides for the indexation of pensions and the payment of subsidies to all who need them. 211 billion hryvnias are planned to be allocated for healthcare, and almost 170 billion for education.
The third priority is the support of regions and businesses. The government will continue to provide assistance to local budgets through subsidies and grants. Funds are also allocated for preferential lending programs and grants for entrepreneurs. Humanitarian demining programs and eOselya will be continued.
An innovation of the 2025 budget will be the introduction of a new model for managing public investment projects to increase the transparency and efficiency of capital expenditures. The priority will be recovery, energy projects, and the implementation of a new veteran policy.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the main financial document of the country for 2025 is aimed at ensuring that Ukraine endures and wins.
