The government has frozen electricity tariffs until 2026: who and how much to pay.
According to inkorr.com: The government of Ukraine has decided to extend the electricity tariff for the population at 4.32 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour until April 2026. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
Ukrainians will continue to pay 4.32 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour for electricity, the preferential terms for users of electric heating remain.
In addition, various tariffs have been introduced for consumers depending on the conditions for using electricity. For example, for owners of two-zone meters, the price at night will be 2.16 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour.
State compensation for electricity costs for residents of dangerous areas
The government has also decided to partially compensate electricity costs for residents of hazardous zones. This support applies to those who receive benefits or subsidies and live in these areas.
The state will compensate lonely citizens for 100 kWh per month, which equals 432 hryvnias. For families, the amount of compensation can reach up to 1296 hryvnias (300 kWh).
Thus, the decision to maintain electricity tariffs and establish compensation for residents of hazardous areas aims to support the financial stability of the population, especially those living in difficult conditions.
