An F-18 Fighter Jet Crashed in Spain.
In the northeast of Spain, near the city of Teruel, an F-18 aircraft crash occurred, resulting in the death of the pilot. Reuters reports this with reference to the country's air force.
“We regret to inform that our comrade Lt. Col. Pablo Estrada Martin died as a result of the F-18 crash,” the Spanish air force stated.
According to Barron's, citing local media, the F-18 fighter was participating in exercises with another plane and was at a low altitude.
It is worth noting that Spain uses two types of fighters: the American F-18 and the Eurofighter Typhoon.
Recall that in the USA near the Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico, there was also an accident involving an F-16 fighter of the air force. This happened around 11:50 local time on April 30, near the White Sands National Park.
On May 20, 2023, on the territory of an airbase in the Spanish province of Zaragoza during a demonstration flight, there was also an incident when an F-18 fighter belonging to the country's air force crashed.
