The Russian society and military refuse to ceasefire in Ukraine

A survey conducted by them confirmed that the majority of Russian servicemen involved in combat operations are categorically against peace.

ISW analysts emphasize that the Russian authorities are directing society towards a prolonged war, justifying it as necessary for the state.

'Kremlin officials are increasingly stating that Russia is ready to fight until Ukraine accepts Russian demands,' the report highlights.

Therefore, given the attitude of the Russian authorities and society towards continuing aggression, it is unlikely that a cessation of the war in Donbas can be expected in the near future.
