Interpol Issues International Warrant for Suspect in Monaco Assassination Attempt on Ukrainian Tycoon.
Attempt on Vadym Yermolayev's Life
According to Espreso.tv: An assassination attempt targeting Ukrainian billionaire Vadym Yermolayev took place in Monaco on June 29. The explosion occurred near the entrance of the residence where the businessman lived. The blast injured Yermolayev, his son, and Anna Nasobina. Yermolayev was hospitalized in Marseille, while Nasobina was taken to the Pasteur Hospital in Nice, where doctors had to amputate both of her legs. The businessman's son was admitted to the Lenval Children's Hospital in Nice and is now out of danger.
Investigation and Aftermath
Ukraine's Prosecutor General, Ruslan Kravchenko, announced that footage from a surveillance camera has been recovered, potentially aiding the investigation. The suspect in the attack, 39-year-old Anastasia Berezovska, has been placed on Interpol's wanted list. She is known to reside in Germany.
On July 16, Vadym Yermolayev suggested that officers from Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) might be involved in the plot.
“We are convinced that HUR officers are directly implicated in this assassination attempt,” said Vadym Yermolayev.Ruslan Kravchenko expressed gratitude to operational staff from the SBU, National Police, investigators, and prosecutors for their professional and coordinated efforts:
