In Odessa, a woman tried to hang the Russian flag on the monument, locals intervened.
In Odessa, a woman tried to raise the Russian flag but was stopped by other people. A video of the incident was posted on social networks.
The woman, who was wearing sunglasses and sports clothing, climbed onto the pedestal where a monument to Catherine II had previously stood. She unfurled the Russian flag and began to secure it, but other people took notice of her. They shouted for her to stop her actions and threw cups of drinks at her. When one man tore the flag from the woman, she began shouting Russian phrases.
These events followed the appointment of Sergey Karyakin as a "senator" in the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, as well as the detention of a former employee of the "Daryivka colony," who worked for the invaders during the occupation of the Kherson region.
It is also known that there was an assassination attempt on Gennady Matsygora, the mayor of Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region, in the city of Stary Oskol.
