Potato prices in supermarkets increased in January, according to data from the Minfin portal.
The price of potatoes rose compared to December. This vegetable is a staple in many households and is used in many dishes.
In particular, the price of ordinary potatoes increased from 32.57 UAH per kilogram to 33.50 UAH, which is an increase of 2.9%. Young potatoes became significantly more expensive - from 42.07 UAH to 44.90 UAH per kilogram. Pink potatoes also became more expensive, rising from 34.17 UAH to 35.50 UAH per kilogram.
The lowest prices for ordinary potatoes are recorded at Auchan - 26.50 UAH per kilogram, while in Megamarket it costs 40.50 UAH per kilogram. Consumers will benefit from choosing the chain with the lowest price.
Varus and Auchan also changed prices for eggs, butter, and sunflower oil.
