Special Permit for Charnockite Extraction Auctioned Off
According to Novyny.live: Ukraine's State Service of Geology and Mineral Resources has issued a 20-year special permit for charnockite extraction at the Medzhybizh deposit. The auction for this permit started at a bid of 4.43 million hryvnias. The winning bid of 4.53 million hryvnias came from the company 'Grandkar'er' LLC.
Another participant in the auction was the private farming enterprise 'Krynychenka', which only offered the starting price of 4.43 million hryvnias. The ultimate beneficiary of 'Grandkar'er' LLC is Oksana Benkalovych.
Reserves and Production Capacity
The balance reserves of charnockite at site No. 1 of the Medzhybizh deposit are estimated at 5.437 million cubic meters. With an annual quarry capacity of roughly 230,000 cubic meters of useful minerals, the operation can be sustained for over 23 years.
This sale of a special permit for charnockite extraction at the Medzhybizh deposit highlights the activity within Ukraine's domestic minerals market and the growing interest in resources with strong potential for long-term exploitation. As demand for construction and industrial materials rises, such auctions may serve as a key indicator of the development of Ukraine's mining sector.
