Luxury car tax has increased by a quarter: which brands lead.
Since the beginning of 2019, tax revenues from luxury cars to local budgets in Ukraine have increased by a quarter. Individual owners of such cars contributed 17.8 million UAH to the budgets, which is 26% more than a year ago.
Most often, the 'luxury tax' was paid for cars by Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Lexus, Audi, and Land Rover Range Rover. The law defines the 'luxury tax' for passenger cars no older than 5 years with a value exceeding 375 minimum wages, which amounts to 1,564,875 UAH.
The transportation tax rate is 25 thousand UAH per year.
Earlier, it was reported that 13.5 billion UAH were collected in the budget from customs duties on used cars. Another 263 thousand 'Euroblachs' with violations of the temporary import or transit customs regimes are currently driving on the roads of Ukraine.
Business declared 9.5 trillion UAH in income - State Fiscal Service
Since the beginning of 2019, revenues from taxes on luxury cars in Ukraine have increased. Individual owners of premium cars paid 17.8 million UAH to the budgets - 26% more than in the previous year. The popularity of the 'luxury tax' is most often demonstrated by the owners of Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Lexus, Audi, and Land Rover Range Rover. Drivers of cars that meet the conditions of the 'luxury tax' are obliged to pay 25 thousand UAH per year. Against the backdrop of this news, the tax service also announced the declaration of business income amounting to 9.5 trillion UAH.
