In Ukraine, a program to support veterans and their families was launched: what the help includes.
The Ministry of Social Policy announced the implementation of a new social service "Social adaptation of veterans, veteran women, and their family members". This service is already available in four regions of Ukraine.
The head of the Ministry of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovich spoke about this in an interview with the agency "Ukrinform".
"Our program provides for a 10-day stay of the entire veteran family in a special institution, where, under the guidance of a multidisciplinary team, the restoration of relationships and life skills after returning takes place," Zholnovich noted.
Veterans returning from war often face injuries, and their families also experience stress. Therefore, it is especially important to provide them with comprehensive support for adaptation and return to peaceful life.
The ministry plans to expand the network of such specialized institutions throughout Ukraine to help as many veterans and their families as possible.
Earlier, it was reported that the Ministry of Veterans is launching the e-Vacancy Card project for the employment of veterans and veteran women in the civil service to facilitate the labor adaptation of this category of citizens.
