In Ukraine, prices for greenhouse cucumbers have soared: how much does a kilogram cost.
Prices for greenhouse cucumbers in Ukraine are rapidly increasing
Analysts of the EastFruit project report that prices for greenhouse cucumbers in the Ukrainian market have sharply risen. The main reason for the price increase is the limited supply of this product.
Despite stable demand, sellers continue to raise prices. According to experts, the current cost of cucumbers is 80-100 UAH/kg ($1.94-2.42/kg), which is 24% higher than at the end of last week. These prices are the highest in the last 7 years.
Considering the reduction in supply from Ukrainian producers, importers are preparing for mass purchases of cucumbers in Turkey. Prices for greenhouse cucumbers in Ukraine are currently 29% higher than in the same period last year. Specialists predict that prices will continue to rise until the season of imported cucumbers begins.
