Many killed: Trump made a loud statement about negotiations with Russia.

Trump expressed hope for an agreement with Russia
U.S. President Donald Trump, returning to Washington from Florida, stated that they may reach an agreement with Russia. He also expressed his criticism of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, but expressed confidence that the new U.S. administration could reach an understanding with Russia.
'I think the Russians want to see an end to this war, I really believe that. However, they to some extent hold the cards because they have taken a lot of territory. So they hold these cards... I want to say that we are making good progress with Russia, and we will do something with Russia that he (Biden – ed.) couldn't. We can reach an agreement with Russia to stop potentially another million people from being killed. Soldiers are simply being wiped off the face of the earth – on both sides. It's terrible. The weapons are so powerful now that they kill many soldiers. These are Russians, Ukrainians, and I don't want these soldiers to be killed – they have mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers. I don’t want them to be killed'
Trump also expressed dissatisfaction with how the U.S. Treasury Secretary was received in Kyiv. He stated that the agreement regarding Ukrainian subsoil should take into account the U.S. contribution to financing their extraction.
In response to a question about the agreement regarding Ukrainian subsoil, Trump noted that Europe receives repayment for the funds it provides, while the U.S. only partially compensates its expenses.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Ukrainian war since February 2022 has cost about $320 billion, of which $200 billion was provided by the U.S. and Europe.
According to the U.S. Department of Treasury, direct budget aid from the U.S. amounted to $30 billion, while macro-financial assistance from the EU consisted of loans.
