A new law to support families of fallen servicemen

According to inkorr.com: The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law aimed at enhancing social protection for the families of servicemen and citizens with special merits for Ukraine. According to the document (#13164), the monthly financial assistance for the families of the deceased in this category has significantly increased.

The main innovation of the document is the increase in the amount of payments. Previously, the assistance for the family members of heroes was one minimum wage, but now the amount has been raised to one and a half minimum wages.

The amount of the payment is determined based on the minimum wage for this year. The law also regulates the distribution of funds in large families, guaranteeing an equal share of payments for each member of the family of the fallen hero.

Those with special merits include those who have been awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine, as well as orders such as the 'Golden Star', the Order of Freedom, and others. The adopted law aims to improve the payment system, ensuring appropriate support for the families of fallen heroes, which is an important step for the country.

Thus, the new law will significantly strengthen the financial support for the families of the deceased who have made a great contribution to the protection of the state. This step emphasizes the society's commitment to care for those who sacrificed their lives for the good of the country and provides necessary support for families left without breadwinners.
