The Verkhovna Rada approved a law on the reservation of defense industry workers: what will change

According to inkorr.com: The Verkhovna Rada held a vote on a draft law concerning the temporary reservation of workers in the defense industry. This decision received support from the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence. According to the new legislation, critical infrastructure enterprises will have the opportunity to temporarily reserve their employees even in case of issues with military accounting. This was reported by the National Association of Defense and Security Industry of Ukraine.

It is important to note that under this draft law, workers of enterprises designated as critically important by government decision may be reserved even in the absence of their military accounting, lack of data updates, or even in cases of search.

Features of the initiative

This initiative provides for the quick registration of workers for defense and strategic enterprises, even during martial law. The adopted document also establishes limitations on the duration of reservation and the frequency of this procedure. Conditions have been defined under which a worker may lose their reservation in case of violation of military accounting requirements. This decision was a response to requests from representatives of the defense industry who sought to avoid the mobilization of their specialists.

Advantages of the innovation

The introduced initiative will simplify the recruitment process for strategic enterprises and help retain their workforce even in the challenging conditions of war or conflict.

Thus, the new draft law is an important step in ensuring the stability of the country's critical infrastructure during martial law. It creates conditions for the effective operation of defense enterprises, which are key to ensuring national security.
