Detonation of Ammunition in a Military Train in Kyiv Region
Last night, an explosion of ammunition occurred in a military train in the Kyiv region, causing significant disruptions in railway communication. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.According to the military department's information, no personnel were injured during the explosion. Movement on the railway tracks was immediately halted, and three cars were uncoupled from the train. The reasons for the incident will be clarified during the investigation and internal audit.The explosions were heard around 02:00 in the Fastiv district of Kyiv region. The regional military administration emphasized that the incident is not related to a Russian attack. Due to stress, three women received medical assistance.Ukrzaliznytsia reports possible delays for certain trains of 2-3 hours, as they will operate on detour routes. The State Emergency Service, railway workers, and other agencies are actively working to eliminate the consequences of the event.Currently, trains on the Kharkiv-Vorokhta, Kharkiv-Przemysl, Dnipro-Lviv routes, and others will operate via Korosten. For trains on the Lviv-Kharkiv, Odesa-Kyiv, Uzhhorod-Kyiv routes, and many others, routes have been established through Trypillia-Dniprovske – Myronivka.During the restrictions between Kyiv and Boyarka, suburban trains have been organized. Train movements will be restricted on some routes, and relevant services continue to work on restoring normal operations.
