Ukraine's Youth National Team won a qualifying match for the Euro-2025 in football
The Ukrainian youth national football team secured an important victory in the seventh qualifying match for Euro-2025. The Ukrainians defeated Serbia with a score of 2:1.
Before this match, the Ukrainian team had a 100% winning record. They defeated England, which allowed them to stay at the top of the standings before the reigning youth Euro champions.
Now Ukraine is guaranteed a spot in the playoffs for the youth Euro qualifying. If our team is among the top-3 best second-place teams, they will also directly advance to the European Championship.
In the next youth Euro qualifying match, Ukraine will face Northern Ireland on Tuesday, September 10.
Let's recall that our youth national team will play against France in the semifinals of Euro-2024, who drew with Spain in the group stage.
The Ukrainians advanced to the playoffs by defeating Italy (3:2) and taking the second place in their group. France had already guaranteed themselves a spot in the semifinals, but Spain could overtake them if they won. However, the draw kept second place for the Spaniards, determining Ukraine's opponent in the semifinals.
