Power Outage: How Schedules Will Operate on September 16.
For the past day, September 16, no power outages are planned. However, it is necessary to be frugal from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Due to shelling and bad weather, 664 settlements in various regions were left without electricity. This was reported by "Ukrenergo" and the Ministry of Energy.
Energy workers urge Ukrainians not to turn on powerful equipment simultaneously from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Over the past day, due to shelling, the energy infrastructure suffered in five regions. Also, due to bad weather, 86 settlements in 8 regions were de-energized.
As of 9:30 AM, electricity consumption was 6.4% less than on the previous working day. This is explained by the decrease in temperature in the western regions.
According to "Ukrenergo," the energy system has a power deficit, and emergency and planned repairs are ongoing at energy facilities. Therefore, it is necessary to be frugal with electricity from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
«Over the past day, the energy infrastructure came under enemy shelling in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions», the Ministry of Energy reports.
Due to military actions and other reasons, this morning 578 settlements were partially or completely de-energized.
Power outages are also occurring due to military actions in the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions, and due to bad weather – in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Khmelnytsky, Kherson, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Poltava regions.
In the Donetsk region, a fire broke out in one of the mines. Combustion products did not enter the mine, and 550 mine workers were successfully evacuated. The fire was extinguished without casualties.
The restoration and development of infrastructure began the construction of the third level of protection at "Ukrenergo" substations. However, international partners consider this expensive project inappropriate until such technology is tested.
Additionally, the European Commission is working on increasing electricity supplies to Ukraine.
