Svyrydenko: the duration of power outages is expected to decrease this weekend.
According to ТСН: The head of the government held a meeting of the energy staff with the participation of representatives of relevant ministries, leadership of energy companies, market regulators, and members of parliament.
Monitoring the implementation of the decision
On her Telegram channel, she noted:
“I am monitoring the implementation of the government's decision to review the list of critical infrastructure. We expect actual optimization of electricity consumption on the ground from all OVA. Distributed generation facilities should fully operate, which will help replenish the deficit of electricity in the network.”
According to her, a reduction in the duration of outages is expected this weekend.
Alternative power sources
The government instructed all ministries and OVA to ensure the availability of alternative power sources for vital facilities.
Consequences of enemy attacks
It is known that after the recent attacks in Ukraine, electricity disconnection schedules have been introduced, and in some regions, power may not be supplied for up to 17 hours a day.
Outage prospects
The director of energy programs at the Razumkov Center reported that there will be no blackouts; however, one should be prepared for long outages.
The meeting of the energy staff demonstrates the government's activity in addressing issues related to energy stability in Ukraine. In conditions of critical outages, it is important that all regions have alternative power sources, and that the optimization of electricity consumption becomes a priority for regional administrations. The situation remains tense, and, as the expert noted, preparation for possible long outages is a necessary measure to ensure the country's energy security.
