In France, on the day of the Olympics opening, the Basel – Mulhouse – Freiburg Airport, known as the EuroAirport, was evacuated for safety reasons. This was reported on the official page of the airport on the social network X (Twitter).
Flights on the border of France and Switzerland were suspended, and the terminal was closed.
An hour later, the company informed that the airport's operations had resumed.
“The airport has reopened, passengers are advised to contact their airline for information regarding their flight,” the message states.
