Opening of the 2024 Olympic Games: it became known who will carry the flag of Ukraine.
Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina will carry the flag of Ukraine during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games. She announced this in an interview with 'Suspilne Sport' in Paris.
The opening ceremony of the 2024 Games will take place on Friday, July 26, at 20:30.
Elina Svitolina defeated Chinese player Wang Xinyu in the 1/8 finals of the Wimbledon tournament. She is the only Ukrainian tennis player who made it to the 1/8 finals of Wimbledon 2024.
Spokesperson of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine Maksym Cheberyaka noted that Ukrainian athletes were warned about behavior with neutral athletes from Russia and Belarus. They do not know all the details and specifics of the opening ceremony for security reasons.
The opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games, where athletes will sail on boats, will take place on July 26.
