Relations between Russia and Azerbaijan Have Escalated to the Brink: What Caused It.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan expressed outrage over the attacks on its citizens in Russia. During an attempted raid in Yekaterinburg, two Azerbaijanis were killed, several sustained serious injuries, and nine people were arrested. The Ministry expressed protest to the Embassy of the Russian Federation, demanding accountability and protection for its citizens.
A member of the Azerbaijani parliament is outraged by the silence of Russian officials regarding the crime and the inadequacy of the response to the events. Oleg Tsarev from Russia is attempting to blame Azerbaijan for provoking the conflict, however, the Ministry categorically stood for the protection of its citizens and expressed protest against the attacks.
