Deferral from mobilization for parents: who is entitled and what are the conditions

According to inkorr.com: Parents raising three or more children can expect a deferral from mobilization in Ukraine. However, the process of obtaining it is not so simple: certain conditions must be met and appropriate documents must be available.

Requirements for obtaining a deferral

According to current legislation, families raising three or more children who are under 18 years old and studying full-time are considered large families. It should be noted that continuing the education of children in master's or postgraduate programs does not constitute grounds for deferral.

The law grants the right to exemption from mobilization to parents raising at least three children, as well as single guardians. To obtain a deferral, one must contact the territorial recruitment center and present birth certificates of the children and extracts from educational institutions.

Circumstances affecting the deferral

It should be noted that the right to deferral may be revoked if at least one of the children reaches 18 years of age and continues their education. Also, if the father is not involved in raising the children or does not live with them, the deferral may be canceled. The decision to grant a deferral is made on an individual basis, taking into account the interests of the children and family circumstances.

Thus, Ukrainian large families have the opportunity to obtain a deferral from mobilization if they meet the defined criteria and have the necessary documents. However, it should be remembered that changes in circumstances, such as the education of children after reaching 18 years of age or lack of participation in upbringing, can lead to revocation of this right.
