Deferment from Mobilization for Teachers: Which Documents Need to be Submitted to TCC.

Ukrainian teachers and lecturers have been given the opportunity for deferment from mobilization. To take advantage of this opportunity, it is necessary to meet certain conditions and properly complete the documents. Lawyer Dmytro Franchuk provided explanations on this issue.
According to Franchuk, the right to deferment is granted to pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical employees who work at least 0.75 of the rate in higher, professional, scientific institutions and general education schools. This only applies to the primary place of employment, and university lecturers without a scientific degree cannot use such deferment.
To apply for deferment, you need to contact the administration of the educational institution. A teacher needs to obtain a certificate from the school principal confirming his permanent work on a full-Time or at least 0.75 rate. Also needed is a characterization of pedagogical activities indicating qualifications, work experience, and contribution to the educational process.
In some cases, a medical commission may be required to confirm the state of health.
After receiving the documents from the place of work, it is necessary to contact the territorial recruitment and social support center (TCC and SSC). For this, the teacher needs to have a passport, identification code, military ID, certificate from the workplace, characterization of pedagogical activities, diploma of education, and an application addressed to the head of TCC and SSC requesting deferment from conscription for military service by mobilization.
TCC reviews the documents within seven days from the date of submission, but this period may be longer if additional information is needed from government agencies. The decision on granting or denying the deferment will be made no later than the next day after receiving the response.
After studying all the documents and, if necessary, the results of the medical commission, TCC makes the decision regarding the deferment.
It is important to remember that the declaration of deferment needs to be confirmed annually or upon TCC's request, providing updated documents. Copies of all documents should be kept to avoid future problems, and the deadlines for document submission should be followed.
