The government has changed the mobilization rules for students and teachers: new deferment conditions.
According to inkorr.com: The government of Ukraine has approved new rules for deferment from military mobilization. Now students and educators must adhere to certain conditions in order to maintain this privilege. This decision is in effect during martial law, which will last until November 5.
Deferment conditions for students
For college students, the right to deferment remains, but only under certain conditions. Students at higher educational institutions are granted deferment only for the duration of their studies. Medical workers and postgraduates are eligible for deferment only if they are studying in full-time format.
New rules for teachers
Research and teaching staff also have new conditions for obtaining deferment from mobilization. This privilege is granted only to those who are actually obtaining a new educational level, studying within the established timeframes, and must study in full-time format.
Documentation of employees' actions
Additionally, starting from September, video documentation of all actions taken by employees of territorial recruitment centers is required. A law has also been passed to provide temporary reservations even for those liable for military service who do not have registration or are wanted.
Thus, Ukrainians who have the right to deferment from mobilization must meet the new conditions established by the government. This applies to students, educators, postgraduates, and research and teaching staff.
Consequently, the new rules emphasize the importance of adhering to educational standards and requirements for studying during martial law. The authorities aim to support those who are actively acquiring knowledge, as education remains a key element for the country's recovery after victory.
