War until 2033: Budanov voiced shocking calculations on mobilization in Ukraine.
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov revealed Russia's calculations regarding Ukraine's mobilization potential.
This information was reported by Forbes Ukraine, citing Budanov's statement during a speech to graduates of the Kyiv School of Economics.
According to the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Russian estimates show that if Ukraine mobilizes all citizens aged 18 and over, it will allow the war to continue until 2033. If the age threshold is lowered to 16, the duration may increase to 2044.
Budanov emphasized that these calculations belong to the Russian side, whereas Ukraine values the lives of its citizens. He acknowledged that the issue of mobilization in Ukraine remains complex, highlighting a certain uncertainty among the population.
"Perhaps, in communication with society, we made mistakes that are now being corrected. But to think that we have run out of human resources is wrong," Budanov said.
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate also noted that service in the Ukrainian army is not a sentence, but an honor and new opportunities.
"Yes, it is a duty, routine, and risk, but at the same Time, it is true freedom - protecting your state, serving your nation," he emphasized, adding that the alternative to this is "Russian slavery."
Earlier it was reported that the West suggests lowering the conscription age to 18 years. Fedir Venislavskyi answered the question of whether Ukraine is ready for such a step.
