Military Tax in Ukraine: Over 100 Billion Hryvnias in One and a Half Years.
According to inkorr.com: During January – August 2025, taxpayers in Ukraine paid over 100 billion hryvnias in military tax to support the army. This figure clearly demonstrates the patriotism of our citizens.
Growth of Payments and Regional Leaders
The total amount of funds directed to support the armed forces has increased fourfold compared to last year, reaching 75.2 billion hryvnias. The highest payments were made by residents of Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, and Kharkiv regions.
'The increase in revenue is due to the increase of the military tax rate to 5% from December 1, 2024, and the diligent and timely payment of tax by taxpayers,' explained the State Tax Service.
Exemptions for Military Personnel
It is also important to note that individuals serving in the military are exempt from paying the military tax for the duration of their service. This is significant support for the military.
Thus, support for the army in Ukraine remains at a high level, which is a positive signal for the country amid escalating geopolitical tensions.
