Conscripts with reservation have the right not to undergo military medical examination: details

According to inkorr.com: In Ukraine, conscripts who have reservations from mobilization have the opportunity not to undergo the military medical commission. This was stated by lawyer Kateryna Anishchenko in an interview for the publication 'RBK-Ukraine'.

As the lawyer noted, persons with deferrals or reservations will not be sent to the military medical commission. The only exception is those who already have a formal reservation. This rule is enshrined in legislation through the approved Procedure for the conscription of citizens for military service during mobilization by the Ministry of Defense.

List of categories exempt from military medical examination:

The categories of persons who are not subject to medical examination include:

  • conscripts aged 18 to 25 (with the exception of the specified exceptions);
  • persons who have undergone military training or basic service before the age of 25;
  • conscripts who have submitted a deferral application;
  • conscripts who received a reservation through enterprises;
  • persons who were discharged from military registration for various reasons.

According to current legislation, conscripts with deferrals or reservations from mobilization are not required to undergo a medical commission. This information is confirmed by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and is regulated by the relevant Procedure.

These changes reduce the burden on the system of medical commissions, which is important in the context of current mobilization. This also allows conscripts to maintain their status and focus on fulfilling their duties in those areas where they already have state support.
