Zelensky on the US operation against Kadyrov: how it will affect the war

According to ТСН: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed the opinion that the US could conduct a military operation to capture Ramzan Kadyrov in order to force Vladimir Putin to end the war. This statement provoked a strong reaction from the Chechen leader, who is a puppet of the Kremlin.

Kadyrov took the threat of his abduction seriously, especially after the recent special operation by Americans in Venezuela. In response, he called such an idea 'humiliating' for the Ukrainian president.

Upset, Kadyrov stated that the call for his capture indicates an attempt to 'disrupt the peaceful settlement' of the conflict in Ukraine, which the Kremlin has been waging for almost four years with his participation.

Zelensky's Reaction

Referring to the possibility of capturing Kadyrov, Zelensky called him a 'murderer.'

'Here is an example with Maduro: they [the US] conducted the operation, everyone saw the result. They did it quickly. Well, let them carry out some operation with this Kadyrov, with this murderer. Maybe then Putin will see and think,' said the Ukrainian leader.

It is worth noting that recently Kadyrov stated that Russia currently has no intention of stopping hostilities, claiming that peace is only possible if 'Ukraine becomes a region of Russia.'

The discussion of Kadyrov's possible capture highlights the tension in Ukrainian-Russian relations and indicates the growing role of the US in the region. The problems arising from the war remain on the agenda, and the positions of both Ukrainian and Russian leaders continue to be rigid.
