The Ministry of Health will address the Vinnytsia City Council regarding the problems that have arisen at the Vinnytsia Cardio Center concerning the provision of free medications to patients. This was reported on the site 'Glavcom'.

Health Minister Viktor Lyashko reported that information about the extortion of money from patients at the Vinnytsia Cardio Center for treatment and surgeries was published on one of the websites. This information was confirmed during the inspection conducted by the ministry, the National Health Service, and law enforcement agencies.

It was found that the hospital is experiencing problems with the provision of free medications and medical supplies, even though they are available. Discrepancies were also identified in the accounting of medical supplies in the hospital and the electronic health system.

Therefore, the ministry is appealing to the owner of the Cardio Center, the Vinnytsia City Council, requesting them to take measures to prevent abuses. Reports of the inspection will be forwarded to hospital representatives and law enforcement agencies.

The minister emphasizes that contracted medical facilities, including the cardio center, must provide medications and medical services to patients for free. Demanding money from patients is illegal and unacceptable.

The construction of the cardio center in Vinnytsia was carried out as part of a joint project between the Ministry of Health and the World Bank, with funding of about 28.6 million dollars. The hospital has done everything necessary to provide quality medical care to patients. Lyashko calls on everyone dissatisfied with the system to leave the medical system of Ukraine.

It is worth noting that previously information about the extortion of money from veterans at the Vinnytsia Cardiology Center surfaced.
