Victor Kirillovich Lyashko - Minister of Health of Ukraine
Date of Birth: 24.04.1980
Place of Birth. Education. Born on April 24, 1980, in the village of Osova in the Dubrovitsky district of the Rivne region. In 2003, he graduated from the A.A. Bogomolets National Medical University. In 2015, he completed a part-time study at the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine (Faculty of Public Administration in Healthcare). He earned a Master of Public Administration in Healthcare.
Career. From 2003 to 2010, he worked in the state sanitary-epidemiological service system of Kyiv region.
From 2010 to 2013, he rose from the chief specialist of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine to the director of the Health Epidemiological Service of Ukraine.
From March 2013 to February 2014, he headed the state institution of the laboratory service of the Kyiv region of the Health Epidemiological Service of Ukraine.
In 2014 to 2016, he was a public health expert in the reform scenario of the Reanimation Package.
From 2014 to February 2018, he was the chairman of the public organization 'Infection Control in Ukraine'. During this time, the organization implemented the grant project 'Development and Implementation of an Optimal Model for Outpatient Treatment of Tuberculosis Patients and Their Social Support as an Effective Way to Improve Tuberculosis Treatment in Ukraine'.
From 2015 to February 2018, he was an advisor on public health issues in the USAID project 'HIV Service Reform in Action'.
From February 2018 to July 2019, he was the First Deputy General Director of the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
From February 26, 2020, to May 2021, he was the Chief Sanitary and Epidemiologist of Ukraine.
On May 20, 2021, the Parliament appointed Victor Lyashko as the Minister of Health of Ukraine.
