Military Personnel After Unauthorized Abandonment: Conditions for Return and Restoration of Benefits by August 30.
Military personnel who have voluntarily left their units (UA) are given the opportunity to return to service by August 30, 2025, and avoid criminal liability. Returning to service will allow defenders to receive payments and other benefits.
The Kyiv Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TCRS) explained the conditions for the restoration of monetary payments for military personnel who returned after UA.
Conditions for Restoration of Monetary Payments
A military personnel must voluntarily contact the military management authority, after which they will be reinstated within 72 hours. At the same time, their monetary provision is restored, and the military receives food and clothing supplies, as well as other types of support. After reinstatement, servicemen receive all benefits and social guarantees provided by Ukrainian legislation.

Drone operators in 2025 may participate in the 'Contract 18-24' program, where signing a contract will grant them a payment of 1 million UAH. After being discharged from service, they will also receive additional state support, including a mortgage at 0%.
The state also provides compensation for military personnel in case of injury, disability, or loss of capacity. The amount of assistance depends on various factors; information about monetary provision in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in August can be obtained separately.
Funds for social support for military personnel returning to service after unauthorized abandonment, as well as incentive programs for drone operators, indicate careful planning and social responsibility of the Ukrainian army.
