According to ТСН: According to the new regulations, in 2026, the pension for combatants cannot be less than 210% of the subsistence minimum for people who have lost their ability to work.
Military personnel who have received the status of combatants have the right to various payments and benefits, according to information from the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
Required Documents for Payment Processing
To receive payments under the status of a combatant, one must submit an application and prepare the following package of documents:
passport
identification code
work book
documents on length of service (military ID, diplomas, contracts, certificates)
combatant identification
certificate of direct participation in combat actions
salary certificate
The application for retirement benefits and documents can be submitted to the territorial office of the Pension Fund at the place of residence or actual location, either in person, by mail, or online through the PFU portal.
Additional Payments and Benefits
In addition to the pension, combatants can expect one-time payments from the state. In particular, financial assistance is provided taking into account disability due to combat actions. Combatants also have the right to differing state benefits in the areas of medicine, transport, labor, utility payment, and to receive land plots.
It was previously reported that in Ukraine, combatants have a guaranteed legal right to additional paid leave lasting up to two weeks.
The introduced changes in pension provision for combatants are crucial for supporting those who defended the country. Along with financial payments, participants will receive access to benefits that will simplify their adaptation to civilian life after service. It is essential that these innovations are properly implemented, and that combatants receive all the payments due to them on time.
