Russian company "Kaspersky Lab" begins closing its operations in the US starting July 20. The antivirus software manufacturer reported this almost a month after sanctions were announced against the company and its management, according to Reuters.

The company stated that it made the "sad and difficult decision" to leave the US due to the inability to continue business in this country.

The company has already stopped selling antivirus and cybersecurity tools on its American website, with a notice stating "purchase unavailable for customers from the US".

Additionally, the company will not be able to provide updates for its software.

The administration of US President Joe Biden has fully banned the use of "Kaspersky Lab" software due to its ties with Russia.

Earlier it was reported that the administration of US President Joe Biden might prohibit American companies and citizens from using software developed by the Russian company Kaspersky Lab.

The Russian IT company "Kaspersky Lab" has created a mobile radio frequency detector to detect drones. The first batch of 20 devices has already been sent to one of the Russian commercial structures. The company stated in an official statement that its anti-drone detector is intended for government organizations.

Furthermore, the European Parliament urged members of its defense subcommittee to check their phones for spyware after traces of hacking were found on two devices.
