Entry to the EU: "Ukrzaliznytsia" on the impact of the new system on ticket sales.

The press service of "Ukrzaliznytsia" explained that the introduction of the new Entry/Exit Scheme (EES) for EU border control will not affect the process of purchasing train tickets.
This was reported by the company.
"Regarding the issue of changes in the transportation process upon the implementation of the Entry/Exit Scheme (EES), it should be noted that there is no anticipated impact on the process of purchasing train tickets formed by JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia", as the implementation of the mentioned system directly affects the procedure of crossing the state border," the statement reads.
According to the press service, the aim of implementing such a system is to enhance security at the EU borders and eliminate "manual" passport checks, speeding up the process of electronic checks.
Specialists of "Ukrzaliznytsia" are currently studying in detail all possible factors of changes for passengers when introducing this system, as well as assessing the possible impact of the implementation of the ETIAS system and methods of payment for the planned fee.
"According to the specialists of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia", the introduction of the specified fee of EUR7 will not have a serious impact or restrictions on passenger traffic between Ukraine and European countries," added UZ.
