Zelensky's Visit to Iceland, Protests in Georgia. Highlights for October 28.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is on his first working visit to Iceland. Here he is participating in the fourth Ukraine - Northern Europe summit. The President will hold talks with the Prime Ministers of Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Sweden and meet with the President of the host country. He will also take part in a meeting of the Nordic Council.
Zelensky plans to discuss issues related to supporting the victory plan, financing Ukrainian arms production, preparing for winter, maritime security, restricting the Russian shadow fleet, defense support, and training Ukrainian warriors.
Protests in Tbilisi erupted after the parliamentary elections in Georgia. Protesters disagree with the election results and are gathering outside the parliament building. The participants are booing Prime Minister Orban, who supported the elections. They are also chanting against Putin.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved changes aimed at strengthening military accounting and monitoring violations of legislation. Now the services will exchange data through an electronic system. This will allow law enforcement to react more effectively to violators.
NATO confirmed the involvement of North Korean military in the war against Ukraine. The Secretary General of the Alliance, Mark Rutte, stated that North Korean troops are deployed in Russia's Kursk region. He called on Russia and North Korea to stop these actions, as it poses a threat to the security of not only the region but the world as well.
