According to spokesman of the Polish Foreign Ministry, Maciej Wewu, the strike was carried out during a massive nighttime bombardment of the city. The blast wave and debris damaged the consulate's premises, but the staff remained unharmed and are safe.
“Another night of Russian terror. The Polish consulate in Odessa was damaged during the nighttime bombardments. None of our staff were injured,” emphasized Wewu.
Wewu also thanked the diplomats who continue to fulfill their duties in Ukraine under constant threat.
