Walkers discontinues beloved chip flavor: what will replace it.

According to The Sun: The company Walkers has ceased production of a popular chip flavor, leaving fans in despair — now they are searching in vain for their favorite product in stores.

The Max Texan BBQ flavor debuted in 2023 thanks to a partnership with Pizza Hut, but now it has been replaced by new chip flavors.

One disappointed fan wrote on the social network X.com:

“Why can’t I find Walkers Max Pizza Hut Texan BBQ chips at the supermarket?”

“I usually buy a bag every time I shop, as they are a favorite in my house. I haven’t seen them for at least 6 weeks.”

But Walkers confirmed that this flavor is no longer available.

The Texas-style chips had received many positive reviews: one shopper wrote on the Asda website:

“Ordered for my son, but he didn’t even get to try them. I opened them just to see what they were like, and they disappeared within an hour. Great taste, very tasty.”

Another shared their impressions:

“So tasty, crispy, just how chips should be.”

With enthusiasm, a third noted:

“These have been my favorite chips for a long time... bought a few bags for Christmas, as they are popular.”

Besides Max Texan BBQ, the Pepperoni Feast flavor created in partnership with Pizza Hut has also been discontinued.

In its place, Walkers has introduced two new flavors in partnership with German Doner Kebab (GDK): MAX GDK Chicken Kebab and MAX GDK Beef Kebab.

A Walkers representative admitted:

“We have recently said goodbye to our two Walkers MAX flavors from Pizza Hut, Texan BBQ and Pepperoni Feast.”

“Continuous updates to our range allow us to create even more exciting flavors for our chip enthusiasts, like the recently launched Walkers MAX German Doner Kebab flavors.”

Walkers Max chips offer intense flavor and vibrant texture. The range also includes flavors such as Strong Hot Chicken Wings, Spicy Prawn Cocktail, Punchy Paprika, and Zingy Salt & Malt Vinegar.

Besides Max, the brand also offers other types of chips: baked, snackable, and indulgent.

In August, Walkers generated excitement by launching two new permanent flavor offerings for the first time in a decade – Sticky Teriyaki and Masala Chicken.

And in March, the manufacturer brought back its Worcestershire Sauce-flavored chips for a limited time, which were sold exclusively at a shop in Worcester, where lines formed.

This summer, the company also introduced the red lobster flavor in the classic Quavers range.

New flavors for fans

Not only Walkers is delighting its customers with new flavors. Cadbury has also introduced two new chocolate bars — Bournville Salted Caramel and Bournville Chopped Hazelnut, which are already available for shoppers.

In addition, Terry’s Chocolate Orange Milk Ball has also released a new product — Terry’s Chocolate Caramel.

Thus, both Walkers and other brands continue to seek ways to satisfy the tastes of their consumers by introducing novelties and experimenting with original flavors.
