Peter Mandelson's Admission

According to The Sun: The US ambassador to the UK, Peter Mandelson, admitted he maintained a close friendship with Jeffrey Epstein 'much longer than he should have.'

This association he characterized as 'a burden on his neck' and expressed 'deep regret' regarding the prolonged closeness with the financier who was convicted of crimes against minors back in 2008.

Mandelson also shared a vulnerable supposition that his orientation may have influenced his view of another side of Epstein, who died in a New York prison in 2019 under suspicion of trafficking.

In an interview, he noted: “I feel tremendous sorrow for those who were harmed by his actions and his illegal crimes.

“And, secondly, I deeply regret that I maintained these associations with him longer than I should have,” he added.

It is important to mention that he also reported on new documents that may be disclosed, leading to further humiliation.

Unjustified Friendly Connection

Mandelson, who is trying to retain his position after serious admissions, assures that he never witnessed any 'offenses' during their friendship, even during joint trips on private jets and vacations in the Caribbean.

“All the time I was associated with him, I never saw any offenses. I never sought nor received any introductions to women as he allegedly did for others,” he stated.

He also admitted: 'Unfortunately, I deeply regret meeting him in the first place and continuing the association.'

Education Minister Josh McAllister stated on 'Good Morning Britain' that Mandelson still has 'full support' from the Prime Minister.

In the context of increasing criticism and a worsening political situation, Mandelson acknowledged that new emails could be disclosed, leading to even greater humiliation.

Despite this, he emphasized that he received no financial benefits from this friendship, noting that Epstein 'unexpectedly appeared' in his circle.

In conclusion, Mandelson stated: 'I deeply regret that I continued the association with him for too long.'
