Wetherspoons opens five new pubs: data and locations announced.
Wetherspoons announces the opening of new pubs
According to The Sun: The Wetherspoons chain has announced the opening of five new pubs. This follows the opening of four other locations in the summer.
GettyThe first new location will open in a week and promises to have a unique 'design, character, and personality.'
Pub Sigered, King of Essex in Basildon, will open on Tuesday, October 21. It will feature a beer garden, and the history of Basildon, which was once part of the Kingdom of the Eastern Saxons, will be honored.
Next up is The New Moor Farm in Tyne and Wear opening on Wednesday, October 22. This pub replaces the former Moor Farm, which closed in the late 1980s. The operating buildings were converted in the 2000s, allowing for a new Wetherspoons opening.
In December, another pub is set to open in Beaconsfield. The Chiltern will open on Tuesday, December 2, at the site of a former 500-seat cinema.
The cinema once showed the silent war film Mare Nostrum, and in the 1950s it was modernized to install a widescreen. The local council purchased the property in 1961 and began a 'modern renovation.'
The cinema last closed in September 1989.
The next opening will be The Hollybush Seam in Bristol, scheduled for Wednesday, December 3. It is located on the site of the former Brandy Bottom coal mine and will be a new pub with a beer garden.
The mine closed in 1936, but some of its features, like the tall chimney and the engine houses, have been preserved.
And on the eve of Christmas, The Angel Inn in Wetherby will open on December 23. This establishment was an important inn for over 100 horses between 1760 and 1840 and had a forge and a smithy.
There is also the possibility of new Wetherspoons openings by the end of the year, as information about the franchising of Papas Group in Stockton-on-Tees is expected soon.
How to save money at Wetherspoons?
FREE refills - when purchasing tea, coffee or hot chocolate for £1.50, you can get free refills. This offer is available daily.
Check the menu - prices can vary from one location to another, even among nearby locations.
If you plan to spend some time in Spoons, you should also visit nearby pubs to avoid paying more.
Choose your day - every evening, the chain hosts themed nights. For example, on Thursdays, there is a Curry Club where you can get a main dish and a drink at discounted prices.
Collect vouchers - students can get coupon booklets in local pubs that offer discounts on food and drinks. It's worth keeping an eye out for this.
Use the app - the Wetherspoons app allows you to order and pay for food and drinks at the table - you are not obligated to be in the pub to use it.
Social network users successfully ask friends and relatives to order drinks for them. The app is available for free download in the App Store or Google Play.
Check the date - every year, Spoons hosts Tax Equality Day to highlight the benefits of a permanent reduction in the tax rate for the pub industry. Such events usually take place in September.
Alongside the 12-day real ale festival in the autumn, Wetherspoons also hosts a spring festival.
The opening of new Wetherspoons pubs reflects the active development of the chain in response to a growing demand for quality leisure venues. All new locations create unique concepts that reflect local history and culture. Against the background of already existing locations, this opening could attract new visitors who are not only looking for tasty food but also for an atmosphere steeped in history.Read also
