Wetherspoons opens four closed pubs: where and when they will resume operations.
According to The Sun: Wetherspoons confirmed that it will soon resume operations at four pubs that closed earlier this year.
The first of them will open its doors in just a few days, while two more will open next week.
FacebookWetherspoons is one of the largest pub chains in the UK, with over 800 establishments across the country.
Earlier this year, some pubs closed without warning, which was a significant loss for their visitors.
The closed venues are located in various parts of the country, but Wetherspoons confirmed that four of them will soon be welcoming guests again.
Members of the JD Wetherspoon Appreciation Society released a list of establishments that would resume operations, and this information was later confirmed by the company.
Pub reopening schedule
The Thomas Ingoldsby pub in Canterbury will reopen in just a few days, on Friday.
Meanwhile, the Sir Richard Owen pub in Lancaster will resume operations on September 2.
On the same day, Square Bottle in Chester will also reopen.
Finally, the Claude du Vall in Camberley will open its doors on October 28.
This news comes after Wetherspoons announced the return of a popular dish to its menu.
The company removed the option to add tuna to potato skins, but after a request from Adam Gale, a regular visitor to Rodboro Buildings in Guildford, the brand's founder Sir Tim Martin responded to the inquiry.
Adam wrote: 'I love visiting Wetherspoons pubs across the country. But I’m upset that my local Wetherspoon in Guildford no longer offers tuna for the delicious potato skins on the menu.'
“Your other toppings, such as cheese and baked beans, are great. But the tuna was so tasty. Can we please return the tuna topping to the menu in Guildford?”
Sir Tim Martin personally responded, noting that he also loves tuna in his potato skins.
He said: “For decades I have been a fan of tuna and potato skins. But a few years ago I switched to chicken wraps and salads for lunch, so I didn't notice the tuna was gone.”
“As soon as I turned away. Seriously, as we are saying, the tuna is back. Your wish is my command, as they say.”
In the meantime, the company is preparing to open a new venue in central London.
The Sun Wharf pub will open its doors on Tooley Street in Sutton, in premises previously occupied by the London Dungeon.
Reportedly, the walls of the venue will be adorned with vintage portraits, highlighting the company's classic carpets.
The establishment will be located near London Bridge Station, close to the famous Borough Market, Shard, and Hay's Galleria.
