Olympic champion Helif will not be able to defend her title: reasons for disqualification.
According to The Sun: Olympic champion in the 66 kg weight category Iman Helif will not be able to participate in the amateur boxing world championships due to a ban from World Boxing.
The World Championship will take place from September 4 to 15, but Helif will not appear at these competitions.
ReutersThe reason is that she cannot compete until she passes a gender test.

Helif also missed this year's World Cup in boxing and has not competed since the summer games.
Liverpool will host the World Boxing Championship, which is considered the most significant boxing tournament in the style of the Olympic Games in Great Britain since 2012.
This competition will be the first organized by World Boxing in the new format of amateur boxing after several years of corruption scandals surrounding the previous organization AIBA.
Why can't Iman Helif compete in the boxing world championship?
The Olympic champion has been banned from participating in women's competitions until she passes a gender test.
This ban was issued after a leak of a medical report claimed that Helif is a 'biological male'.
The medical report concerns an unspecified gender test conducted by the International Boxing Association in 2023.
She has appealed this decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), attempting to regain her right to compete in the 2025 World Boxing Championship.
However, CAS stated that hearings will only take place with the consent of the parties. This delayed the process by several weeks, making it impossible for the Olympic champion to register in time for the competitions.

Who is Iman Helif?
Helif is an Algerian boxer who debuted in 2018.
She has an impressive record of 48 wins and 9 losses, despite losing five of her first six professional fights.
In her last fight, she won the title of Olympic champion in the 66 kg weight category, defeating Liu Yan in 2024 in Paris.
The previous year, Helif was disqualified at the World Championship in New Delhi just hours before the final for not meeting the eligibility criteria of the International Boxing Association (IBA).
Thanks to her status as a woman, she earned the right to compete in the Olympics in Paris 2024.
Helif won gold, but she was critically evaluated by many public figures, including Donald Trump and J.K. Rowling, as well as millions of others.
