Wizz Air Strengthens Its Milan Presence
According to Novyny.live: The low-cost carrier Wizz Air has announced a major expansion at Milan's Malpensa Airport, adding an extra aircraft and boosting flight frequencies. Effective October 25, 2026, the airline will station its 10th plane at the airport, enabling new destinations and more services. This move underscores Wizz Air's commitment to growing its network in Southern Europe, a key region for both leisure and business travel.
New Destinations and Flight Schedules
The updated Milan schedule introduces several fresh routes:
- From October 25, 2026, daily flights will connect Milan to Dortmund.
- Starting May 11, 2026, there will be 4–5 weekly services from Milan to Bilbao.
- From May 10, 2026, flights to Cluj-Napoca will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
- Beginning May 20, 2026, Wizz Air will run three weekly flights from Milan to Iași.
- From May 11, 2026, daily services to Palma de Mallorca will be available.
- On September 1, 2026, the airline will launch two new domestic Italian routes from Milan to Naples and Palermo.
- New routes from Naples Capodichino International Airport will start on May 12, 2026.
Regarding baggage policy, Wizz Air allows one free carry-on bag measuring up to 40 x 30 x 20 cm and weighing up to 10 kg. Online check-in opens 24 hours before departure and closes 3 hours prior to the flight.
This expansion at Milan creates fresh travel opportunities for both locals and tourists, strengthening air connectivity in the region.
