Barcelona prepares a banned stadium for the match against Valencia: details of the decision.
Barcelona prepares for the match at the 'banned' stadium
According to The Sun: The football club 'Barcelona' is preparing to play a La Liga match against 'Valencia' at a stadium considered 'banned'. The reason is that their home stadium, 'Camp Nou', is still undergoing reconstruction, which has dragged on since the expected opening in November 2024.

As a result, 'Barcelona' has been allowed to play the first three matches of the La Liga season away, but this weekend the team will meet 'Valencia'.
In the last two seasons, the club played at the Olympic Stadium. Before the match against 'Valencia', 'Barcelona' began preparations to meet the league's requirements for hosting matches at Johan Cruyff Stadium.
Photos from the stadium showed workers installing new VAR cameras and fiber optic connections according to La Liga standards.
However, as reported by Sport, La Liga management must grant 'Barcelona' a special permit to hold the match at this stadium, as league rules require that the stadium's capacity be at least 15,000 spectators.
However, Johan Cruyff Stadium has a capacity of only 6,000 seats.
This stadium has already hosted one men's match this season — the Joan Gamper trophy, where 'Barcelona' faced 'Como'.
To hold matches at 'Camp Nou', the club will need a temporary operating permit from the Barcelona City Hall.

At the time of reopening, its capacity will probably be limited to 20,000-30,000 seats.
Hansi Flick's team, the current champions of Spain, remains unbeaten before the international break, with two victories and one draw away.
